Gates are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day DIRECTIONS: Strawberry Plains Audubon Center is on Hwy. 311, 3.2 miles north of the intersection of Hwy. 7 and Hwy. 311 at Holly Springs , and 9.5 miles south of the intersection of Hwy. 72 and Hwy. 311 at Mount Pleasant . From Memphis , take Hwy. 72 from Collierville , TN and turn right onto Hwy. 311; or take Hwy 78 (Lamar) to the Holly Springs/Oxford exit. Follow Hwy. 7 north through the town of Holly Springs and turn left onto Hwy 311. Turn left at the stop sign. Go 2.5 miles, and Strawberry Plains Audubon Center will be on your right.

Organization for Bat Conservation Using live specimens, Rob Mies will talk about the benefits, misunderstandings and uniqueness of bats. Mississippi Wildlife Rehabilitation Find out about the work of this local group to care for orphaned or injured wild animals and how they return them safely to their native habitats. Adventures with John James Audubon Storyteller Brian “Fox” Ellis returns to portray artist and naturalist John James Audubon. This year's program will highlight Audubon's time in Mississippi as well as the birds he painted here. Bird Tales, Stories and Songs from Many Lands Weaving his lifelong love for birds with traditional folktales from many cultures, storyteller Brian “Fox” Ellis takes listeners on the migratory flyways of our winged friends. Taking strands from the latest ornithological research, melodious ribbons from song birds and birds of prey, waterfowl and cranes, along with patchwork squares from Native American, African, European and Asian folklore, Fox creates a tapestry of tales that is informative and inspiring.
